Triple A - Antwerp (via Amsterdam and Arnhem)

I’ve been meaning to finish this entry off for a while, but had to wait a lifetime for some Lomo half frame, black and white photos to come back from processing. Turns out they didnt develop great. In fact they were terrible, so they don’t even get a post on here. Gutted. Anyways …

Another visit to Holland. Chilled out for a few days in Arnhem, before taking a solo day trip to Amsterdam with ‘Diana’ (see above photo disaster). Weather was great, so wanted to take a walk around and mess around taking some photographs.  Had a chilled out day. Great city.

Antwerpen! … We took the train from Arnhem via Roosendaal, to Antwerp in around 2.5 hrs. The ‘worlds diamond capital’ apparently. On arrival you are welcomed by a very cool Central Train Station that is a tourist landmark in its on right. Only had the one night here, so we got straight to it and wandered around the city for a few hours. Nice city with some very cool architecture (very gothic) and shopping.

Visited the Diamond District, the Guildhouses at Market Square; City Hall and the Statue of Giants (below); the Cathedral of our Lady and the Meir before having a strong belgium beer in one of the bars on the square. Very chilled out day. We set off back to Arnhem the next day, but not before having one of the famous belgium waffles covered in chocolate sauce! Nice! Managed to take some photos with ‘Diana’ on this trip also, just have to wait and see how they turn out. Better than Amsterdam I hope!
